Cage System

Welcome to System 2 And congratulations on getting through System 1. In System 1, we laid a foundation upon which we can begin to build. System 1 covered some of the most important basics of guitar technique. In System 2, we will expand on these techniques. We will cover some similar ground but add to the complexity of the patterns, practicing every CAGED form in each week’s practice routine. This should solidify your memorization of the CAGED forms. By diligent focused practice, you will begin to see all of these CAGED patterns across your guitar neck in all keys for arpeggios, pentatonic scales and major scales. Once you complete System 2, you should be fluid in all 5 forms of the CAGED system. Competency in these forms is essential for guitar mastery. You will use them for the rest of your playing life.
