The Guitar Daily Workout is the gold standard for guitar technique studies. System 4 completes the FOUNDATIONAL books of the Guitar Daily Workout. By the end of book 4, you will know the most important scales, arpeggios, and exercises on the instrument, (and probably know more than 95% of guitarists out there today as far as technique studies). We all know that just being great at scales doesn’t make us great guitarists. But it does give the essential building blocks to become one.
By the end of System 4, you will be able to play every diatonic interval on the neck from fingers 1, 2, and 4. You will know all of the diatonic arpeggio shapes in any key and in every position. We will continue to dive into the pentatonic scale since it is such a vital scale to master, practicing playing every other note. You will also master all of the 3-on-a-string modes of your major scale in any key and be able to connect them all together across the neck, by practicing all 7 forms every day.
If you complete these first four Systems, you can know that you have true proficiency in your FOUNDATIONS and are on the way to mastering your instrument.
